The Stages Saddle (000-7612) is a premium performance cycling saddle engineered for commercial indoor cycling environments. Designed by Stages Cycling, this ergonomic bike seat delivers durability, rider comfort, and reliable performance across high-use studio settings.

The Stages Saddle is widely used on the Stages SC Series indoor bikes, including the SC1, SC2, and SC3 models. Its streamlined road bike seat design supports efficient pedaling while maintaining long-ride comfort during high-intensity indoor cycling classes.

At Indoor Cycle Pros, we work closely with studios, gyms, and training facilities across the United States that depend on reliable cycling equipment. Based on our extensive experience servicing Stages bikes, the Stages Saddle remains one of the most trusted replacement seats for maintaining rider comfort and performance. You can review complete specifications and availability on our product page.

Designed for the Stages SC Series Indoor Cycling Platform

The Stages Saddle is specifically engineered to integrate seamlessly with the Stages SC Series indoor bikes, including:

  • Stages SC1 Indoor Cycle
  • Stages SC2 Indoor Cycle
  • Stages SC3 Indoor Cycle
  • Les Mills Indoor Bike

The saddle’s rail design and mounting configuration match the geometry used across these commercial indoor cycling bikes, allowing quick replacement or upgrades without complicated adjustments.

Important compatibility note:

  • Compatible with Stages SC1, SC2, and SC3

  • Compatible with Les Mills indoor bikes

  • Not compatible with the Stages SB20 Smart Bike

The Stages SB20 Smart Bike uses a different saddle mounting system and seat post design, which is why the Stages Saddle is not compatible with that platform.

Ergonomic Bicycle Saddle Designed for Rider Comfort

Indoor cycling classes often last between 30 and 60 minutes, making seat comfort a critical factor in rider performance. The Stages Saddle features an ergonomic bicycle saddle design that supports long-duration rides while maintaining efficient pedaling posture.

Key comfort features include:

  • Streamlined pressure relief bike seat shape
  • Balanced padding for indoor training sessions
  • Narrow nose design for improved pedaling efficiency
  • Durable synthetic cover for studio environments

The saddle’s ergonomic shape distributes rider weight evenly, reducing pressure points while maintaining the responsive feel expected from a lightweight racing saddle.

This balance between comfort and performance makes the Stages Saddle ideal for both experienced cyclists and newer studio participants.

Performance Cycling Saddle for High-Use Studio Environments

Indoor cycling studios operate in demanding conditions. Bikes may be used in multiple classes every day, which means equipment must withstand constant use.

The Stages Saddle is designed to meet these commercial durability requirements. Its reinforced construction and resilient surface materials allow it to perform reliably in high-volume training environments.

  • Common studio applications include:
  • Boutique indoor cycling studios
  • Fitness clubs and health clubs
  • University recreation centers
  • YMCA and community fitness programs
  • Corporate wellness facilities

Because the Stages Saddle was developed specifically for indoor training platforms, it offers the durability studios need while maintaining long-distance cycling comfort.

Engineered by Stages Cycling for Precision Fit

Stages Cycling is known for developing advanced indoor cycling equipment used by professional training facilities and fitness studios worldwide.

The Stages Saddle was designed to complement the overall bike fit philosophy used in StagesFit, the brand’s professional indoor bike fitting methodology.

StagesFit emphasizes correct rider positioning, including proper saddle height, reach, and Q-Factor alignment, which helps riders maintain optimal pedaling efficiency.

By using a saddle designed specifically for the Stages SC Series, studios can maintain consistent rider positioning across their entire fleet of bikes.

This consistency helps instructors deliver structured training programs while improving rider comfort and performance.

Lightweight Racing Saddle Design for Efficient Pedaling

While comfort is essential for indoor cycling classes, saddle performance also plays a major role in rider efficiency.

The Stages Saddle incorporates elements commonly found in road bike seat designs, including:

  • Narrow performance profile
  • Efficient rider positioning
  • Smooth surface transitions
  • Lightweight construction

These features allow riders to maintain proper pedaling mechanics while reducing unnecessary movement during intense cycling intervals.

For riders participating in high-cadence classes, hill climbs, or interval training, the saddle provides the stability needed to maintain consistent performance.

Why Saddle Quality Matters for Indoor Cycling

The saddle is one of the most important contact points between the rider and the bike. Poor saddle design can lead to discomfort, inefficient pedaling, and reduced rider engagement during classes.

Upgrading or replacing worn seats with a genuine Stages Saddle helps ensure:

  • Improved rider comfort
  • Consistent bike fit across studio bikes
  • Better pedaling efficiency
  • Reliable durability in commercial environments

Studios that maintain high-quality components often see improved rider satisfaction and better overall class experience.

What pedal comes with a Stages bike?

Can I add a Stages Display Console to a Stages SC2 indoor cycle?

No, the Stages Display Console is only compatible with the Stages SC3, which contains the required internal generator. The Stages SC2 does not support console connectivity.

Can I upgrade the height adjustment Stages FitLoc Lever on my Stages bikes to the Stages Pop-Pin with Knob?

Yes, you can upgrade your Stages FitLoc Lever to the Stages Pop-Pin with Knob! You will need a 2mm Allen, a 2.5mm Allen, and a 3mm ball-end Allen wrench.

How do I replace a Stages Power Meter?

To replace your Stages Power Meter Crank Arm (which includes the entire left crank arm with integrated power meter), follow the step-by-step instructions below using the proper tools and supplies.

🔧 Tools & Supplies Needed

  • 8mm Allen wrench or 8mm Allen socket with ratchet drive (recommended)
  • Park Tool HPG-1 High Performance Grease
  • Park Tool PW-4 Professional Pedal Wrench (or equivalent)
  • Loctite 243 (blue threadlocker)
  • TitanFlex heavy-duty nitrile gloves (or equivalent)

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Wear Gloves
Put on nitrile gloves to keep grease and threadlocker off your skin.
  2. Remove the Pedal
Use a pedal wrench to remove the pedal from the existing crank arm.
    • Left pedal = reverse-threaded (turn clockwise to loosen)
  3. Remove the Existing Crank Arm
Use an 8mm Allen wrench or socket with ratchet to turn the crank bolt counter-clockwise.
    • This is a self-extracting bolt — it will loosen and automatically remove the crank arm.
  4. Clean the Spindle
Wipe the bottom bracket spindle's splines and internal threads clean using a dry cloth.
  5. Apply Grease and Threadlocker
Apply a thin coat of Park Tool HPG-1 grease to the spindle splines and a small drop of Loctite 243 to the internal threads of the spindle.
  6. Install the New Stages Power Meter Crank Arm
Slide the new crank arm onto the spindle so it is 180° opposite the right crank arm.
  7. Tighten the Crank Bolt
Thread the crank bolt in by hand, then firmly tighten with your 8mm wrench or ratchet.
  8. Reinstall the Pedal
Thread the pedal back into the new crank arm.
    • Left pedal = reverse-threaded (turn counter-clockwise to tighten)
  9. Final Check
Ensure both crank arms are 180° apart, the crank spins smoothly, and all bolts are secure.
What is the best way to clean my Stages bikes?

For the Stages bike frame, use a diluted solution of Simple Green at a ratio of 1:30 (1 part Simple Green to 30 parts water). Spray onto a microfiber cloth and wipe the entire frame including crank covers. Dry with a clean microfiber cloth.

What tools do I need to service a Stages indoor bike?

Stages indoor bikes use only metric tools. Never use fractional tools. For a complete tool guide, email us at sales@indoorcyclepros.com and we’ll provide access to our Stages Bike Tool Kit.

How do I adjust the saddle angle on my Stages indoor bike?

Use a 13mm open end wrench or 13mm socket with ratchet to loosen each side of the saddle clamp, make your adjustment, then re-tighten evenly. Check out our Stages saddles collection.

How do I replace the batteries in my Stages Power Meter?

Use a quality #0 Phillips screwdriver to remove the tiny screws on the battery cover of your Stages Power Meter. Replace the AA batteries, ensuring the correct +/− orientation. For a tighter fit, wrap a layer of electrical tape around each battery.

How do I know if my Stages Power Meter needs to be replaced?

Find the 5-digit ANT ID on your Stages Power Meter. While pedaling, open the StagesPower app and check for a matching device. If no connection occurs, press the reset button for 3 seconds, try again, and replace AA batteries if needed.
