MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle | Stages Compatible Indoor Cycle Saddle
The MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle is a Stages-compatible indoor cycle saddle designed by Indoor Cycle Pros to solve a real-world studio maintenance problem: sweat, dust, hair, and cleaning residue collecting beneath cutout-style saddles.
Includes one complete saddle assembly.
Compatible with Stages SC1, SC2, and SC3 indoor cycles.
Built on a proven Velo saddle platform, the MaxRev™ PRO was custom-tooled by Indoor Cycle Pros without the center cutout commonly found on traditional indoor cycling saddles. This cleaner design helps reduce buildup around the saddle mounting hardware while maintaining the comfort, durability, and fit expected from a commercial indoor cycling saddle.
Stages Saddle Replacement for SC1, SC2 & SC3 Indoor Cycles
The MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle is a direct replacement for Stages indoor cycle saddles and is compatible with:
- Stages SC1 Indoor Cycles
- Stages SC2 Indoor Cycles
- Stages SC3 Indoor Cycles
Designed for commercial studios, fitness facilities, universities, recreation centers, and home riders, the MaxRev™ PRO provides a durable and practical replacement saddle for high-use indoor cycling environments.
Designed to Eliminate the Center Cutout
After years of servicing Stages indoor cycles, Andrew Sandoval noticed a recurring issue with cutout-style indoor cycling saddles. Sweat, dust, hair, cleaning solution residue, and other debris would collect beneath the saddle around the mounting hardware and saddle post.
Properly cleaning that area typically requires removing the saddle from the bike, something most studios simply do not have time to do as part of routine cleaning procedures.
The MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle was specifically designed without the center cutout to create a cleaner, easier-to-maintain solution while preserving the proven comfort and durability riders expect from a commercial indoor cycling saddle.
- Eliminates the center cutout found on traditional studio saddles
- Helps reduce sweat and debris accumulation beneath the saddle
- Easier to wipe down between classes
- Supports studio hygiene and cleaning protocols
- Designed for high-volume commercial use
Built on a Proven Velo Saddle Platform
The MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle is manufactured by Velo, the same saddle manufacturer used for many commercial indoor cycling saddles.
Indoor Cycle Pros invested in dedicated tooling for the MaxRev™ PRO in order to retain the proven fit, comfort, and durability of the Velo platform while eliminating the center cutout that can create maintenance challenges in studio environments.
Commercial Indoor Cycling Comfort & Durability
The MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle is designed to withstand the demands of commercial indoor cycling. Daily classes, rider turnover, repeated adjustments, and sweat exposure place significant stress on indoor cycling equipment.
Key features include:
- Commercial-duty saddle construction
- Comfortable studio saddle profile
- Durable sealed upper surface
- Reinforced dual-rail mounting system
- Standard saddle rail compatibility
- Designed for daily studio use
Unlike many consumer-level bicycle saddles, the MaxRev™ PRO is specifically intended for indoor cycling environments where durability and easy maintenance matter.
Why Andrew Sandoval Created the MaxRev™ PRO
Andrew Sandoval, founder of Indoor Cycle Pros, has spent more than a decade specializing in Stages indoor cycles, including assembling, installing, tuning, and servicing thousands of SC1, SC2, and SC3 bikes.
After years of seeing the buildup that accumulates beneath cutout-style saddles in real studio environments, Andrew developed the MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle as a cleaner and more practical solution for Stages bike owners.
The goal was simple: maintain the proven comfort and fit of the Velo saddle platform while eliminating a design feature that creates unnecessary cleaning challenges for studio operators.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this saddle fit my Stages bike?
Yes. The MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle is compatible with Stages SC1, SC2, and SC3 indoor cycles using standard saddle rail mounting.
Is this the same as the OEM Stages saddle?
The MaxRev™ PRO is manufactured by the same saddle manufacturer, Velo, and utilizes a very similar commercial indoor cycling saddle platform. The primary difference is that the MaxRev™ PRO eliminates the center cutout to help reduce sweat and debris accumulation beneath the saddle.
Why does the MaxRev™ PRO not have a center cutout?
The center cutout found on many indoor cycling saddles allows sweat, dust, hair, cleaning solution residue, and debris to collect underneath the saddle around the mounting hardware. Removing the cutout creates a cleaner and easier-to-maintain saddle design for studio environments.
Does this listing include one saddle?
Yes. This listing includes one complete MaxRev™ PRO Studio Saddle assembly.
What tools are required to replace the saddle?
A 13mm deep socket and ratchet are recommended for saddle replacement and adjustment on most Stages indoor cycles.
How long does saddle replacement take?
For most Stages SC1, SC2, and SC3 owners, saddle replacement takes less than five minutes.
Is this saddle only for commercial studios?
No. The MaxRev™ PRO is designed for commercial studio use but is also an excellent replacement saddle for home riders who own Stages indoor cycles or other compatible indoor cycling bikes.

How do I replace a Stages Power Meter?
To replace your Stages Power Meter Crank Arm (which includes the entire left crank arm with integrated power meter), follow the step-by-step instructions below using the proper tools and supplies.
🔧 Tools & Supplies Needed
- 8mm Allen wrench or 8mm Allen socket with ratchet drive (recommended)
- Park Tool HPG-1 High Performance Grease
- Park Tool PW-4 Professional Pedal Wrench (or equivalent)
- Loctite 243 (blue threadlocker)
- TitanFlex heavy-duty nitrile gloves (or equivalent)
🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Wear Gloves
Put on nitrile gloves to keep grease and threadlocker off your skin. -
Remove the Pedal
Use a pedal wrench to remove the pedal from the existing crank arm.- Left pedal = reverse-threaded (turn clockwise to loosen)
-
Remove the Existing Crank Arm
Use an 8mm Allen wrench or socket with ratchet to turn the crank bolt counter-clockwise.- This is a self-extracting bolt — it will loosen and automatically remove the crank arm.
-
Clean the Spindle
Wipe the bottom bracket spindle's splines and internal threads clean using a dry cloth. -
Apply Grease and Threadlocker
Apply a thin coat of Park Tool HPG-1 grease to the spindle splines and a small drop of Loctite 243 to the internal threads of the spindle. -
Install the New Stages Power Meter Crank Arm
Slide the new crank arm onto the spindle so it is 180° opposite the right crank arm. -
Tighten the Crank Bolt
Thread the crank bolt in by hand, then firmly tighten with your 8mm wrench or ratchet. -
Reinstall the Pedal
Thread the pedal back into the new crank arm.- Left pedal = reverse-threaded (turn counter-clockwise to tighten)
-
Final Check
Ensure both crank arms are 180° apart, the crank spins smoothly, and all bolts are secure.
For the Stages bike frame, use a diluted solution of Simple Green at a ratio of 1:30 (1 part Simple Green to 30 parts water). Spray onto a microfiber cloth and wipe the entire frame including crank covers. Dry with a clean microfiber cloth.
Stages indoor bikes use only metric tools. Never use fractional tools. For a complete tool guide, email us at sales@indoorcyclepros.com and we’ll provide access to our Stages Bike Tool Kit.
Use a 13mm open end wrench or 13mm socket with ratchet to loosen each side of the saddle clamp, make your adjustment, then re-tighten evenly. Check out our Stages saddles collection.
Use a quality #0 Phillips screwdriver to remove the tiny screws on the battery cover of your Stages Power Meter. Replace the AA batteries, ensuring the correct +/− orientation. For a tighter fit, wrap a layer of electrical tape around each battery.
Find the 5-digit ANT ID on your Stages Power Meter. While pedaling, open the StagesPower app and check for a matching device. If no connection occurs, press the reset button for 3 seconds, try again, and replace AA batteries if needed.
